Basil Tech (Seattle Branch)

I led a group of volunteers to use their development skills to build software for the Kingdom of God. This group was formed after 2019's Code for the Kingdom Seattle Hackathon

Overview

Burdened by the lack of tech innovation in the Christian world, I led a group of other passionate tech Christian volunteers every week to work on passion projects and prototypes to help local churches, charitable organizations, and other non-profit entities. The group size varied from four to ten poeple, and we met every Monday evening for three hours.

Some of our projects involved Union Gopsel Mission of Seattle, Seattle New Life Church, Read Scriptures, and Bible Dojo.

Basil Seattle was succeeded by Alex Wang when I moved out of Seattle in 2022 and then sunsetted late 2023 due to Alex's shifting priorities towards his marriage and family.
